Common compressor problems we see

  • Air leaks. You hear hissing, or the tank loses air overnight.
  • Abnormal pressure loss. Your tools slow down or the gauge drops while you work.
  • Tripping the breaker during startup. The motor's pulling too many amps, or there's a short.
  • Compressor not shutting off. It runs continuously and never cycles off on its own.
  • Oil or water in the airline. Getting moisture or oil at your tools or equipment.

These are some of the common problems we see. If your compressor is doing any of these, bring it in or give us a call to schedule an on-site visit or diagnostics.

FAQ

What do you work on?

Most all makes and models of air compressors, plus nail guns and other air tools.

The part for my compressor isn't made anymore. Can you still fix it?

Often yes. We've converted compressors to standard easy-to-find parts when the original was discontinued.

What will it cost, and how long will it take?

If you give us a call, we can often give you a quick estimate and lead time right over the phone.

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment needed, but you can always call to make sure we can help.

My compressor can't keep up with my tool. Is it broken?

Not always. The compressor's CFM (how much air it makes) needs to be equal to or greater than what your tool needs. We'll help you figure out whether it needs a repair or is just the wrong size.
