7/8" Check Valve For Speedaire, Campbell Hausfeld & Sears Air Compressor

This 1/2" Compression x 7/8" Straight Thread Check Valve is designed specifically for older Campbell Hausfeld, Speedaire, and Sears air compressors. It serves as a reliable replacement for the original aluminum or brass check valves found in these models.

The valve features a 7/8" male straight thread, which screws directly into the compressor tank or, in some cases, a manifold mounted on top of the tank. These systems were originally sealed using a copper or aluminum crush ring to create a leak-free connection.

Important Update on Seal Ring:
This check valve no longer includes the copper or aluminum crush seal ring, as these rings are no longer manufactured. If your existing compressor still has the original seal ring, it can typically be reused as long as it is in good condition (not cracked, overly flattened, or damaged). Reusing the original ring will still provide a proper seal when installed correctly.

If your original ring is missing or unusable, you will need to source a suitable replacement sealing washer separately or consider an alternative sealing method appropriate for straight thread applications.

This replacement valve also includes a 1/8" female NPT side port, commonly used to connect an unloader valve. This allows pressure to be released from the pump head after shutdown for easier restarting. If your compressor does not require this feature, the port can be plugged with a standard 1/8" NPT brass plug.

Before purchasing, please confirm compatibility with your compressor. This valve is intended for systems that utilize a copper or aluminum crush ring between the check valve and the tank or manifold. If your setup does not use this type of seal, this valve will not be compatible.
